Only five more days to go till i leave Britain for Afghanistan again. I'm not sure if i'm happy to be going or not. It feels like i've only just got here.
The flu seems to have finally gone, and i've been feeling normal again for about 48 hours. The late nights and socialising i did over the weekend obviously helped! But it feels kinda weird not to feel sick now...
Anyway, i'm glad to be going back to Kabul because i only get paid when i work, so i've had no income for a month and i've spent millions since i've been here - this country's so expensive, specially when you get paid in US dollars. But i'm not glad to be leaving here really. It would be nice to be able to spend more time with my family. I'm planning to be back here again for a few weeks in three months or so though.
I'm flying back with Azerbaijan Airlines. I don't know what they're like, but they're probably well dodgy! I will spend a night in Baku on the way - but i won't have long enough there to really see anything. I think i arrive about 10.30 at night and leave again about 8am. Not great really.
I'd better get that hotel booked though, or i'll be sleeping in the airport!
