My friend Ingrid, who's also moving house, mentioned real estate agents wanting a list of everywhere she's lived in the last ten years in her recent blog post. This got me thinking about whether or not i could list the places i've lived in the last ten years.
The answser's probably kinda yes, kinda no. The first two of those ten years were the tail end of the ten years i spent wandering aimlessly up and down the east coast of Australia - and overseas a bit - and i hardly really lived anywhere at all during that period. After that though, i reckon i could.
Here goes - working backwards...
- Kabul, Afghanistan (3 months)
- Suffolk Park, New South Wales (6 months)
- Lennox Head, NSW (6 months)
- Lismore, NSW (6 months)
- Maldon, England (1 year)
- Terania Creek, NSW (6 months)
- Fairfield, Brisbane, Queensland (2 years!)
- Mandorah, Northern Territory (1 year)
- Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island, Qld (9 months)
- Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Is (9 months)
- Lismore, NSW (9 months)
Hey, that's not really that many places! It looks quite stable really. But that's only 8 years. In the two years before that, working forward this time...
- Terania Creek, NSW
- West End, Brisbane, Qld
- A period in a tent at the anti-sand mining camp at Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island
- Far North Qld for a while
- Melbourne for a while
- Sydney for a while
- Probably Brisbane for a while
- Probably Far North Qld again
- Brisbane again, maybe
- Lismore
That's all a bit hazy though...
