It snowed all day yesterday and all day today. It's been a very long time since i saw so much snow - i'm pleased to say.
It's kind of hypnotic, though, sitting looking out the window at the snowflakes falling - floating downwards, rather than falling. And the snow's settled fairly thickly on undisturbed bits of ground. It's quite beautiful really.
But the roads are just one big mass of muddy slush now - which is not a whole lot of fun to walk through. I guess it'll freeze tonight, which will either make it better or worse, i'm not sure which.
No planes have been landing in Kabul while the weather's been like this - which is a bit of a worry. The forecast for Kabul on Al Jazeera's web site says it should be sunny on Tuesday though. So hopefully that will be the snow finished for a while. So long as i can get out of here on Thursday week, i don't care!
The Al Jazeera weather forecast also says the maximum temperature tomorrow will be minus one with a minimum of minus ten tomorrow night! Strewth! I'd better get another blanket or two, i think...
